if i make it true in .rpad
<encodeAllFrames type="bool">true</encodeAllFrames>
and use -vm sharp in commandline

will the sharp mode work?

yes it should work , why do u think it will not work ?
the first param is only to avoid frame dropping and have nothing to do with the resize mode (someone correct my if i made a mistake).

# sharp - Sharpest Image. The codec will attempt to keep the image quality as high as possible and sacrifice frame rate if needed to do so.

sacrifice frame rate != drop frame?

i think they should be the same

Yes. Using both, at very very low bitrate, you will get crap quality, a bigger than expected filesize and no frame drop.

so sharp mode works partially, it will only keep the image quality but no sacrifice the frame rate when encodeallframes enabled?

quality will go down if it needs to drop frames and can't.

correct. 'encodeAllFrames' will prevent frame drops in all cases. In any case, at bitrates commonly used by AutoRV10, 'sharp' vs 'medium' does not make any difference. However, 'soft' is not recommended, as it can trigger HHR = Half Horizontal Resolution.
