i've stepped through the ~28 page thread on BeLight and can't find the reason why my files are encoding to ~9kb...which of course is some data, just not audio.

BeSweet.exe -core( -input "J:\little_monsters\a.ac3" -output "J:\little_monsters\a.mp4" -logfile "J:\little_monsters\a.log" ) -azid( -s stereo -c normal -L -3db ) -bsn( -2ch -vbr_normal -codecquality_high -aacprofile_he ) -ota( -g max )

i have put "Aac.dll" and "aacenc32.dll" into the BeSweet directory along with BeLight, yet i still get this. i followed the guide on this website that was updated on aug.9th 2005.

Anyone know why i am getting this tiny file for output? it is literally 8,216 bytes (less than 9K).

Could you try with an other output format ? Just mp3 or vorbis to see if the problem remains...

If you have the same thing, I fear that the problem comes from your source...

I've had that problem when I first tried using the soft. The transcoding would be done instantly and I would be left with a shell file. I forget exactly how I solved it but I think it was either by putting NeroIPP.dll in the BeLight folder or by changing the settings. For AAC, the settings are pretty restrictive and the unusable ones aren't shaded out. Use preset AAC, which is guaranteed to work.
