I have an mpeg4 video file and a seperate SRT subtitles file, is there any way i cen recode the avi file with the subtitles into an mpeg2 dvd stream.

normaly to recode a file like this i whould use nero recode, but that i dont think supports subtitles.

The only dvd related tools i currently have installed are, DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Just about everythin Nero, and VirtualDub. Id rather stick to these apps if possable.

Thanks for any help,
Chris.

Paddington's SubtitleCreator will convert the SRT subtitles back into a proper DVD subtitle stream. You'll also need IfoEdit.

Recode will support subs, but don't know how well it'll work going mp4 -> DVD -- going the other way I've sometimes gotten iffy results, lines missing etc.

Otherwise as above post by zelog jones, you have text files -- DVDs use a graphics overlay... Either hard code (imprint the subs on the video frames) or create the graphics subs & add them to your DVD layout.
