Ok, guys, here I am again, causing trouble... ;)
See this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=98606) for more detail. Basically, Undertow, R1 has VobIDs that are completely unreferenced in some of its titlesets.
Normally, I have a pretty good idea of when this kind of material exists. First step in any of my DVD backup projects is to use future Doom9 DVD Hall of Famer Mr. Shrink's awesome DVD Backup Pre-Visualization utility, aka DVD Shrink v3.2. Unreferenced Material is itemized on it's opening scan.
Well, not this kind (not even after a full Analysis, btw). Seems these DVD authors are getting a little lazy these days and aren't properly notating their garbage material in VTS_C_ADT, I believe. Darn them!
I actually caught this on my first pre-run in DVD-RB. I noticed the unusually large third segment (it looked just like the first, only bigger) in VTS_01 in the Preview Editor and investigated it. Then my computer blue-screened, a day or two later goes by, and I missed it on my second run in DVD-RB. Darn me!
Anyways, I was wondering if it's possible for DVD-RB to highlight this on the front-end of its workflow? It certainly does on the back end (i.e., WARNING: VOB Count Old: x New: y). That's when the light bulb went off again.
Well, I figure it's worth a try. Even if it goes into that pile marked "Things I'll never get to", at least it's a start??! ;)
p.s. - I think jdobbs and a bunch of you other guys are headed for Doom9's DVD Hall of Fame as well, btw... :)
