DVD-RB Pro and 6 pass not working?

I was using DVD-RB free version with CCE SP for awhile and 6 pass worked fine but I upgraded to the PRO version and it doesnt seem to be working, with CCE. I have it set to 6 just like the free version but it only runs 1 or 2 passes, the encoding finishes in roughly 1 hour while the free version would take 6 hours or so. And on CCE it doesnt show the x/5 passes thing when using Pro so thats another reason I assume its not working even though its set. Whats going on?

What version of CCE are you using? There were a couple of variations of v2.67 that changed the values needed for to specify CBR/VBR/OPV.

CCE SP Ver. 2.67.00.23

works fine in the free version of DVD-RB just not the PRO version

I'll check, but there have been a lot of changes since v0.93. As I remember it, the trial version has a different set of commands than the commercial release. I think it was changed because more people had the other version and I was getting swamped with complaints... let me see what I can do.

Is yours the trial of the commercial release?

I have always use 2.67.00.27 Trial with 10 passes most of the times
(10 passes, guess thats just me)

No problems with any of the DVDRB versions, nor the latest.

I had many probs with 2.70 and I therefore returned to 2.67.00.27

Therein lies the problem. It's entirely possible that the parameters changed between v2.67.0.23 and v2.67.0.27.

Cinemacraft wins no awards for version compatibility and the consistency of their ECL settings. Bless their hearts. :(

I'll still look at it and see if I can find out where the command changes start in v2.67...

Does your copy require ECLCCE?

ok I updated to .27 of CCE and now it works fine with 6 passes w/ECL w/DVD-RB Pro. Thanks for the advice and help.

Ok, good to hear. But I'd still wish I could get a solid feel for how to decide which parameters to use with v2.67... that version is very frustrating.
