Q.1 What are the OGG OGM softwares i need for complete OGG party.(encoding decoding directplay etc etc)
OGM is a container. So you need to have the video/audio codecs you plan to put in the container while encoding. For e.g:, if you plan to put XviD video and Vorbis audio into OGM, you need XviD encoder and BeSweet which can create OGG files from your source audio. For muxing them, you need VirtualDubMoD, OGGMux or GraphEdit. Install the Ogg Vorbis DirectShow filter collection (http://www.vorbis.com/files/1.0/tobias/OggDS0995.exe) and the Subtitle Package (http://www.vorbis.com/files/1.0/tobias/SubTitDS1400.exe) for playback/subtitle support. But, know what? use MKV instead of OGM.
Q.2 k-LIte codec pack contains similer codecs (like oggdirectshow(by tobias),ogg directshow(by gabest) what should i keep and remove in order to watch every format and decode only popular ones.Just install the DS filters which I gave above and don't ever use codec packs.
Q.3 Both xvid and divx support xvid then why both neededNot needed unless you want to encode with both. For decoding MPEG-4, you only need one of them. And if you are keeping just one, keep XviD.
Q.4 If i use real alternative is it as good as the real "real"Not sure what you mean by the real "real", but yeah, Real Alternative:
1. + MPC is much faster than Real One.
2. takes less hard drive space.
3. doesn't require you to "register" or try to connect to some Real Network's IP all the time.
4. doesn't install any other junk.
Q.5.Is lame, razorllame, eac better than cyberlink powerencoder because i have both.Huh? LAME is an MP3 encoder, even though the name says it isn't ;-), RazorLame is a front-end for LAME. EAC is an audio grabber (cda->wav). CyberLink PowerEncoder is an H.264/AVC encoder. So, the first 3 applications are NOT better than the last one since the first 3 has got to do with audio and the last one has to do with video, lol.Q.6 Do you think my knowledge of codecs suck.Yes :P
