DVD-RB Pro RC4 and Audio / Subs selection

Hi all,

I´m new to DVD-RB and have some concerns about DVD-RB and SUBS.

I started with DVD-RB Freeware edition first and then donated and installed DVD-RB Pro RC4

I´m using,

Avi synth from RC 4 installer.

CCE for encoding.


Here is the story,

DVD Decrypter in file mode to rip "Around the world in 80 days"

In DVD-RB Pro I´d like to remove everything except for Swedish and English audio and Swedish and English subs.

Settings in DVD-RB Used.

"Main movie only"

"One Click Mode"

CCE Seetings, VBR Bias=25 , Quality Prec=16, VBR_Passes=4

Setup Settings,

Audio=remove all except for English and Swedish

Subs=remove all except for English and Swedish,

Run encoder minimized=checked

Remove DTS=checked

Remove Direc....=checked.


Problem in the result, No subs except for Danish. I can choose among all that came with the original but the only sub language actualy shown is danish.

Tried to leave audio / subs untoched but same result.

So I now used DVD Shrink to rip only Main movie and those audio / subs (English and Swedish) without having DVD Shrink enoding / compressing anything and now DVD-RB Pro is encoding from that, so I´m going the see the result tonight.

Is this the way to go or can you guys explain to me how to do it?


Another question should I change something else concerning the VBR Bias settings etc, I mean in general do / should I change the settings mentioned above?

Yes... I've run across a similar problem and I reported back to jdobbs... just for the record... isn't Danish Subtitles the first ones on the Subtitles list?

Well they might be. Im not sure I understand what you are asking for?
I tried changing among the languages but the only language comming up i Danish regardless of my choice.

Will check this tonight, but all presented in the list at original DVD is the same list at the copy. And as I wrote even when I configured RB not to remove anything I still see the same problem.

The freeware edition didn´t have this problem with this movie. However in the freeware edition I didn´t have the oppertunity to select main movie only, I mean
can it be related to this?

It could be a remote possibility. There have been little glitches in the past with Movie Only that had to be fixed. If you suspect it is a possiblity, and you are possitive that all your settings are correct, try a full backup with CCE in OPV(for speed) and see if it solves anything. If it comes out properly, then most likely it is related to Movie Only and is something that can be addressed by jdobbs.

Didn´t manage to test tonight.

What do you guys think of my idea of using DVD Shrink or similar do rip main movie only on does audios and subs I like without having DVD Shrink compress anything and then use RB? I wont comprimise the quality would I?

Don´t mean to be rude but I´m more interested in nowing and testing but so far I really like RB.
