View Full Version : Which DVD Author Software to create a non-standard DVD ?

Right now I'm using TMPGEnc DVD Author, but since I want to create a non-standard DVD (with a resolution of 480x480), I need to patch my video file, in order to bypass the software protection.

So, I would like to know if there is any other DVD Author Software, easy to use as TMPGEnc DVD Author, that can just ignore things like resolution, so I can create this non-standard DVD.

Thanks.

AFAIK DVDLab is pretty compliant when it comes to being non-compliant.

I see...

But it's to complicated. I would like something very fast and easy.

DVD-Lab complicated? I found DVD-Lab to be one of the easist authoring tools to come to grips with.

You don't need to get into the complicated settings of DVD-Lab and also if you go to MediaChance's site there are guides on how to author DVD along with other stuff you can do.

Good luck. :)

You can still use TDA, but you need DVDPatcher too.

1. Patch the MPEG to 720x480 (first header only)
2. Import the MPEG into TDA
3. Patch the MPEG back to 480x480
4. Do the Authoring

It's very important to do it this way. Don't do anything in TDA without patching back first!

I also find DVD-Lab to be pretty intuitive, its as easy or hard as you make it. I know nothing, but have just produced a fairly full-featured dual layer DVD of my 6 Months of Travel, slide shows, video clips and Audio-only stuff. :)
I believe there is a box to un-tick for video that is less than standard!
