Hi
Is it possible to record all my actions on the computer to the Xvid format? And have it as smooth as possible?
Thanks

Try this on for size:

If you want XviD, you will have to change the settings to realtime encode with XivD.

I think that the standard frame rate will be quite low for it, probably around 5fps. I haven't used this program, I use Camtasia Recorder instead, but that's besides the point. I think that what you should do is up the frame rate to 25fps, and up the bitrate, just do it based on your resolution, however, I think that 2mbit+ is necessary....

I downloaded the trial for Camtasia Studio 3 and tried recording the screen. I set the frame rate to 30 frames per second but for some reason it keeps recording at 15 frames per second.
Here is a screenshot

How do I get it to record more than 15 frames per second.
I even tried using Xvid codec and set the framerate to 30 frames per second, but for some reason it recorded at 5 frames per second.

Well did you do this in the configuration area? (Please bear in mind that I use 5.0 fps, and not the 30 that you request)

yes that's exactly where i typed in 30.0 instead of the 5.0 which was there by default.

anyway 30fps is no need if you just want to record what you are doing, and will give heavy task to your computer.
most times 15fps is enough indeed. :p try and see if it meet your demands.
and btw, reencode it using xvid will cause some strange things on color near the line, i guess
