Hello all
I have multiple divx 5.0 avis that I want to put on a DVD. All the clips are boxing matches of different file length. Basically I'm just trying to do this so I have nice DVDs of the fighter's entire career just for my own recreational and personal enjoyment purposes.
From what I'm getting from readin around, the files have to re-encoded to an mpeg2 stream. I guess I'd also have to reencode the audio from mp3 to ac3?
Would I have to first join all of these avis using virtualdub, or can I encode them all separately? If joined, I would like the chapter points to be the start of each fight for my "Fight Selection" submenu.
I do have CCE SP 2.5 for the encoding, but then I gues I'll have to get an authoring program for the authoring part, since all I have is bundled software like SonicMyDVD and Roxio.
In the end I want a still (screenshot) menu with a song playing in the background, a fight selection submenu, and that's it. I can figure out the menus later, it shouldn't be too hard.
I know everyone here says that the results are not good if the source is avi, but that is the only thing available. I taped the fights a few years back and have since capped them so there is no more loss in quality and that's all I have to work with.
Any input would be much appreciated, I'm just trying to get it all started.
Thanks
