The CCE SP manual says:

However, some DVD player does not support such MPEG streams as encoded with adaptive quantization matrix, and may cause the block noise when playback.

So, do people disable it even though it's not by default? If you are trying to make the most compatible DVD you can I guess you should disable adaptive Q-matrix switching, right?

Has anyone had any problems with it and found disabling solved things?

Thanks,

It would be a very poor player that did not support standard MPEG2 syntax. I've never heard of one like that.

Ok cool. I would of thought the same but wondered if it was important as it's mentioned it in the manual...

Thanks though and I guess I'll leave it as is.
