I'm trying to analyse the last of the four fieldblending samples I have,* (a PAL DVD of X-Men TAS : Phoenix Saga) and I've found a weird phenomenon where chroma is interchanged between successive fields:

@scharfis_brain talks about something similar here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=684911#post684911) although the clip is now offline so I'm not sure whether it's the same phenomenon. I have tried with DGIndex 1.4.0 and with DGIndex 1.4.1b3, and the problem persists in both cases.

The source seems as a whole (in my limited experience) quite weird, and I would appreciate any insights anyone has either on this interchange or on anything else...

I am just uploading clips made with Chopper XP. (That program didn't seem to work too well... is it all right to just cut sections using VirtualDubMod?)

Sample 2 (more motion) (http://people.pwf.cam.ac.uk/mg262/posts/blend/xmen ex2.vob)

*in case you don't know what I'm talking about, it's for a thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=94091) on the Development Forum.

Hi mg262,
I have no time to look closer to the clips. The pics show fields not frames, right?
Looks like a blendconversation only on the chroma channels, but not fieldwise, no, framewise before the telecining.
Ok, loa_ash had a similar problem. My function seems to work for him. Look here:
yellow parts in frames (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=97277)
Please tell me, if it works also for this source. DonŽt have much time now, but if you have questions, IŽll answer later. ;)
