u can use YAMB to mux .srt, and some other subtitles type in mp4 files, try it here: http://kurtnoise.free.fr/Yamb-1.3_alpha1v1.zip! but these subs won't be playable in showtime, u'll have to use mpc or zoom or bsplayer

I thougt YAMB uses MP4Box and this means the subtiltes are in a BIFS manner?

actually the mpeg-4 standard defines one own text stream format: mpeg-4 ttxt (aka 3gpp tx3g) and thats what mp4box creates when feeding it with .srt

Yes i know, but is there a way to mux Nerosubtiltes manualy into an MP4 container?
I thought you used an Animationstream and an Textfiel for displaying subtitles in your samplescript?
By the way, you sample scripts are very helpfull and I want to thank you for your work.

They are used in a compatible way, but it's not the official subtitel format for MPEG4, because that is timed text(wich based on timed text from 3GPP).

i think u r out of luck then, if is it not part of mpeg standard, not many tools will start implementing it.

there is more defined in MPEG4 as anyone will nor can implement. but the bobsub in MPEG4 is only a demuxer question because there is allredy decoder software.

As far as I now have heard the auhtor of mp4box will (maybe) implement it. It is an very important feature (even it is from Nero) because the Nero Cetified Player will use these VobSubs.
By the way I have to fall on my knees in front of the author of mp4box. What he have done is unbeliveable. I hope the Vobsub input will come soon....I will wait.
