Created some mp4 files from nero, AVC, stereo. plays fine on local disc.
I hinted the files with mp4box and mp4creator, not at the same time.
Playback streamed from Darwin Streaming Server became choppy.

Tried to hint the file with Quicktime, but it gave me the follwing error:
"Error -2015: the movie contains an incorrect time value"
exporting it to a .mov container didnt work neither, the result is a blank green screen, sound seems to work.

I am planning to convert my files to mp4s for streaming on our LAN. But before a start batch processing, need to make sure i am converting to MP4 properly.

edit: ok i am pretty sure this is only an AVC issue, no problems with encodes with Simple Profile *sigh*

i assume qt7 is simply still unstableI've also found it to be very, very slow. I used the following settings: -

And... after feeding it with 720x576 DV.AVI or MPEG-1 sources, in an attempt to generate an 720x576 multi-pass AVC encode, the results were not very good either :eek:

Maybe I'm doing something wrong!

@SMD:
It took ages and the quality was not very good neither. I though i did something wrong as well.
I am afraid that QT encoder will be the same as it was for Simple Profile. I woulnd mind if they werent making such a big fuss about QT 264 support.
Still, this is a preview version, so I tend to give Apple a little bit credit until QT 7 final comes out.
Since i dont like WMP, QT is kinda my reference player ....
*crossing fingers*
