Cool. I recall looking for something in the Deamon forums and found the solution would be in V4, but I can't for the life of me recall what it was.

And can someone explain to me the use of a virtual IDE drive in Windows?

Loading CD/DVD images like if it was a real one? Burning 6 CD in 1 DVD? :)

Loading CD/DVD images like if it was a real one? Burning 6 CD in 1 DVD? :)You can do all of this with the way it works in the current versions (virtual SCSI drive).

I think the advantage of a virtual IDE drive is to better spoof the more intrusive copy protection mechanisms. I can remember that for some games to run from an image you would first have to disconnect all your optical IDE-drives to convince them that you would like to run the game from a SCSI-drive.

Would anyone happen to know...

In DAEMON Tools, is there a way to create a desktop shortcut that will, with one (double)click, mount a specific image?
