Hello,
I'd like to join 2 DVDs into one by dropping any bonuses, menues not needed languages etc. I might need to reencode video.
My idea was to rip both DVDs in IFO mode using DVDDecrypter. I would keep Sound and video tracks in VOB and probably demux subtitles. I believe I should be able to join the VOBs in DGMPGDec and extract .m2v and .ac3 stream. If neede, I will reencode the .m2v using QuEnc or HC.
But what should I do with the subtitles? How do I join them and how can I convert them to use in Muxman?

Thank you,
Vlada

Honestly? The easiest way to do all that stuff is to get DVD Remake Pro. That can join two dvd's perfectly (while still preserving menus) and you can also blank out any extras you dont want. Then you can just send it through DVD Rebuilder to get rid of any audio you dont want and to encode the video.

It is just one DVD so I don't want to purchase any SW to do it. I don't want to keep any menues. I just want video, audio and subtitles. It won't be a problem without subtitles. A solution would be to get .srt or .sub subtitles for the movie and convert them to .sup.

DVDShrink is the tool for you (in reauthoring mode) if you don't need menus.
