Setting when menu buttons activate...

I'm authoring using DVD Maestro, and have an m2v menu I wish to use (a still with a fade in from black) and some music in the background, starting before the still completely comes to. I've noticed that it's not letting me hit the buttons until I hit the 'loop' point (I THINK), and thus was wondering if there might be a better approach to this?

Never mind.
After a few test runs and re-reading the Maestro tutorial, I realized that what I'm trying to do won't work. I just put some voice-in before the music so that I can loop right after the fade in / before music starts, so that navigation will start right when the fade ends
