How To Make DVD From Clips From Other DVDs? - Create Compilation From Concert DVDs

Hopefully this title makes sense. Basically, I have a ton of live convert DVDs that I'd like to take and extract 1 or more chapters from each DVD and do 1 of 2 things:

1) Import into a video editing program to create fades from one scenes to the next
2) Skip the editing and just dump those chapters into a new DVD.

I'm somewhat familar with backing up DVDs, but I'm not sure the best way to extract just a chapter and then what tool to use to import those chapters?

Any ideas?

Using DVD Shrink in re-author mode is an easy way to extract selected chapters to a new DVD. Although each cut is put into it's own Title, so when it is played back there will be a slight pause between Titles, and you will have to do some adjustments with PGCEdit so you can previous skip between Titles.
