I know there is a frontend called CDRTools to CD burning.

For me my favourite for DVD burning is ImgToolBurn. :)

CDRDAO is free. DVD Decryptor can burn various CD images too.

Another vote here for the free CDBurnerXP Pro. I found it by asking the same question here about a year ago.

On windows I always liked burnatonce (http://www.burnatonce.com), a frontend for a number of different free command line tools. IMO the best free burning program is k3b, but that doesn't run on windows AFAIK.

Burrrn and Foobar can burn Audio CD's.

Foobar2000 uses the Nero engine, i believe you have to have Nero installed to use it.

Speaking of Nero, who doesn't have a pile of copies of it around?

I always get pops at the start of each track when I use my computer. Anyone know how to get rid of this? No matter what program/Drive I use(Nero, Record Now, Music Match, Windows Media Player).
Thanks,
