another problem adding subs :(

Hi
I have another problem when i want to add subtitles in a movie that doesn’t has subtitles
I use these guide posted here:

I found it excelent and it do a succesful work for my first movie, but i have strong problems with my second:
- When I finish all the process posted above in these guide, and I go to play the movie with power dvd (or whichever soft) the movie has NO SUBTITLES feature, and the only AUDIO TRACK is tilded Ok but DOESN’T PLAYS any sound.


The original movie has:
-the menu
-ac3 audio track
-Subs (3 tracks of subs) but not spanish (which I’m interesed)


the first thing I do is use Dvd shrink to fit in sngle layer dvd, and remove:
-the menu
-the tracks of subs

and leave only the movie + de audio track ac3.
Then I apply the guide http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=83566

So. I do exactly the same with one movie called “Layer cake” and I dunno why I can’t do the same with this movie “Dobermann”
I try several times but always have the same results L
