I have recorded some television episodes on my Sony DVD-R set-top reocorder. I would like to take these episodes and transfer them to my computer, then encode them in DivX. The vobs are not copy-protected and I copied the one I want to my hdd. I tried opening it with DGIndex, but it told me that "MPEG 1 streams are not supported." Is there a way to do what I want with just Gordian Knot or do I need to d/l another app? Also, can anybody recommend a decent piece of free, general video-editing software?
