Hi, is it possible to store the subtitles directly in an avi-file?yes, it is. but the question is why to do so ? it may impose several problems on the playback. e.g. u need an avi player supporting muxed subtitles.
avimuxgui can mux subtitle(s) into avi, anyway.

What is meant with muxed?
I want them in there, so I don't need any special DVD-Player features.
Is there no program that put's them into the videoframes?

If I get this right you wanna hard-code the subs in the avi file, but that way you have to reencode each frame. You could open the avi in GK,insert the subtitle file into the avs script via vobsub and reencode the file.
Hope that helped

Well... That's what I want to do, but I never used GK (which is Auto Guardian Knot, if I got that right) oder vobsub ever before... Is there any guide to hardcoding subs in video files?

Listen up mate! If you want to add permanent subs, just use this guide. It is short easy and when you figure it out you'll stick with it.

It's important that you remember to install VobSub with support for VirtualDub.
Hope you'll find it usefull...
