My internal DVD reader/CD burner went down a few months ago. I replaced it with an external Plextor 716UF DVD burner. I just captured a HI 8 tape onto my computer with Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2. My computer is a Compaq Presario 2500 series laptop, my O/S is Windows XP. I have to go into the control panel and uninstall my old drive in order to make sure my system defaults to the Plextor - for CD/DVD ripping and burning.

So when it is time to make the DVD from the captured video - I can't burn directly to disc because the program doesn't recognize that I have a valid DVD burner. So instead, I burned it to my hard drive. So when I tried to burn that to DVD with Nero, it says:

DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video may be unplayable.

Up above it says:
One or more files (mostly VOB file(s)) do not belong to the corresponding IFO file.

The list of files on my HD for this are:
Video_TS.BUP
Video_TS.IFO
Video_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB

What should I do?
