Unfortunately my shitty SN25P is still locking up after the RAM change.

I have tons of dos based benchmark tools but in the end I want to run Windows so that's what has to run stable. Do you know of any benchmark tool that really puts the entire machine to the test and can be run automatically over and over again (potentially for days)?

thank you.

I guess I already found my PC killer though.. I bit the bullet and spent the 20 bucks for PC Mark 05 and I've run a full test suite 4 times so far and 4 times the PC aborted. 3 times with a freeze, once with a BSOD and automatic reboot.

Have you checked your 'event viewer'? what was the culprit?

I sure have.. the problem is there's nothing in there that would indicate an error.. there's no log entry at all at the time of the crash.

I've finally watched through the tests.. and the crash ocurrs during the memory test. That, I'm afraid, sounds very familiar. I guess I have to make the suggestion that they switch back to the normal RAM they use rather than the high performace stuff. I rather have a stable machine than a few percent more memory performance.
