i need a portable DV recorder with analog inputs, so i can use small portable camera with it (biking, downhill..), can be disk or tape based, battery powered of course..

any ideas?

Sony makes a couple of portable DV recorders.

The portable DV recorders are expensive. You might consider getting a cheap Mini DV cam with analog inputs.

Have you considered connecting your "small portable camera" directly to the analogue inputs of a DV camcorder?

yes, thats kinda not that cheap for a dumb device like that..., unfortunatelly i have to find a solution, i guess some cheap dv camcorder would be the best choice? (which one would you suggest?) (since i dont want to risk my dvx100 for such stuff).
