Hi there.
I just bought a 64mb Smartmedia card for my older camera, the Olympus C-830L.
I formatted the card with the camera, and took some pictures. The pictures do work in the camera, and I can see them on its LCD screen and I can upload them via Serial Cable.
However when I inserted it into my USB card reader, the pictures were locked and could not be read or copied.
Trying to copy to HD: Cannot read from source file or disk.
Trying to preview: Preview unavailable.
The card is not corrupted as I can read/write my own files to it.
(eg. I can save a text file to the card, and read it from the card.)
The reader is not corrupted as I can read/write my own files with it.
The camera works, as it's taking and displaying the pictures.
I have an 8mb card which works flawlessley for both.
Connecting a serial cable to the camera allows images to be downloaded, therefore this card can be used with my camera, but why are the pictures available through serial and not through my USB card reader?
Thanks :D
