To separate a scene with Nero Recode (Start options / End)?

Hello,

I have do many recordings on a DV cassette in different places with my DV video camera .
At home, i captured it with Pinnacle Studio 9 on my PC. I chose Nero Recode for the encoding.
I wanted to separate a scene of another scene while selecting the options of Nero Recode: START and END. ( a first scene then encoding, another scene and so on ).

I made it. But I don't understand why NERO pursued the encoding beyond the limits that I made to it.
Whereas Canopus Express or Procoder 2 makes its work well.

Does someone have an idea?

Do exist a software that permits to cut a file Nero Mpeg4 (HDTV AVC) / AAC-LC?

I would like to know why while using the option Start / End, nero pursues the encoding beyond in spite of the limits (start / end).

I only ask for an answer. I think that some moderators can give their opinion. If it is not decided yet.
