Hi all :)
I have a problem with playing SACD in DTS over SPDIF. I'm using ffdshow in passthrough mode to forward signal to the decoder (Logitech Z-5500). The decoder displays that signal is in DTS format but no sound is played. If I set ffdshow to use dtslib to decode the signal and recompres it to Dolby Digital and send over spdif sound is ok. I don't know how much of quality am I loosing so my question is - how to do it without recoding ? SACD is in 16bit 44khz mode and mayby that's the problem. Can't find any information but the Logitech instruction says it accepts signal in 48khz/16bit through 96khz/24bit. I tried to use resample function of ffdshow but it seems to have no effect, I don't even know if resampling can be done before sending to spdif in passthrough mode. WINDVD 7 can't play those SACD, in 5.1 mode over analog outputs sound seems to be ok but trying spdif results in no sound at all (decoder says - no signal).
Libdts in ffdshow over analog works well but analog outputs of onboard sound.... not really something to be happy about.
I don't have any movies with DTS soundtrack to test if it would help nor do I have any DTS samples at 48khz. Somebody can help mi with that? Send me a sample?
