Hello,
Im a noob, (1 click solutions mostly), I dont want ignorance to be an excuse,
but I spent almost straight hours since friday 3pm trying to do this (and kids keep on crying) ->
I have recorded (DVR) an HDTV program on ComcastCable in Chicago.
I hit play on DVR, and using dctrecord (or CapDVHS) thru firewire I saved it to my PC(1hr,~5GB).
Now I want to make a DVD out of it. I can play the original in winamp, vlc, etc.
I used VLC to shrink the size from 1080 by 50% like this http://www.cyberonic.com/~marcin/untitled.jpg
This gives me a nice mpg, which also plays fine on vlc, winamp etc.
btw, if I select MPEG TS above then ULEAD says "sorry no video in stream"
bs, cause winamp/vlc plays it.
Now I open ULEAD DVD Workshop 2 and add the clip and it also previews fine
BUT when I burn the image, either .iso or VIDEO_TS folder the video is accelerated. Every minute its faster by 5 seconds.
This is part of the stream (http://www.cyberonic.com/~marcin/partialraw.mpg)(40M) I recorded thru firewire.
and this is what bbdmux says
File z:\partialraw.mpg is an MPEG-2 Transport Stream
Found PID 0x0840, stream id 0xE0 = Video Stream 0
Found PID 0x0841, Other Stream
Found PID 0x0000, Program Association Table Stream
Found PID 0x0031, Other Stream
Summary:
MPEG Transport Packets = 230422
PID 0x0000, Program Association Table packets = 275, total bytes = 50600
PID 0x0031, Other packets = 275, total bytes = 50600
PID 0x0840, Video stream 0 packets = 220471, total bytes = 40209498
PID 0x0841, Private Stream 1 packets = 9401, total bytes = 1714160
WHY is the video accelerated after ULEAD processes it ? I also tried other
DVD creation tools and the same thing happens.
Can you guys download this file and try it and see if you get it ?
one thing to notice is that in the original the guys say
"Well, looks interesting" and a second after that the move this screen
from the car, after I finish with DVD creation they move that screen well
before saying it.
Is there something I am missing here (well, duh) ?
Please help, I know I will be doing more of this in the future, I am running out of space on DVR fast!
btw the program is about formula1 racing, originally made for IMAX.
I will put this on bittorent for you if I get this to work.
Thanks
