Thanks for the info. Upgraded.
For those interested in the change log - check here (http://www.videohelp.com/tools?changelog=217). I couldn't find this info in the VLC homepage though.

On the latest VLC
I noticed that it won't play DTS audio, which is a pity and I notice that 0.8.1 still does. However they seem to have fixed the time and there is now a picture saver although it doesn't seem to be saving anything.
Still, its a big improvement. The preferences section has been reorganised and is a lot more user friendly.
They're keeping up the good work.

Has matroska menu navigation been implimented? If so are there now any tools to convert DVD menus to mkv?

On the DTS playback, noticed that it wasn't my imagination. They have disabled it after they were threatened with legal action (flavour of the month!!). You can, of course, put the old one in yourself ;)
Here's the info from the videolan forum (http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=10483)
Still, great player....although it could do with better subtitle display support. They have said they will. NOthing is perfect.
