VirtualDubMPEG2 is no longer being developed.

Please explain what means "After 3 Compression Tests"

VirtualDubMPEG2 is no longer being developed.
That's news to me! :p

You must be confusing it with VirtualDubMod, because I can tell you that VirtualDub-MPEG2 is undergoing extremely heavy development as we speak.

@Amdh:
What is the error message?

Virtualdub mpeg2 is an excellent program. It not only allows you to open avi files but also mpeg 1/2 and vob files.can you give more info on what the error message is ?

The next version of VirtualDub (1.68) will be released as "stable". Could you extend this program to a new VirtualDub-MPEG2 version? :)

fccHandler

I certainly will. ;)

Hope This Will Help !

OK, so it's a crash and not an error message. Next time it crashes push the "Save" button, and it will write a "crashinfo.txt" file in VirtualDub's folder. Please post that information here.

Also, it would help to know exactly what you were doing when it crashed.

Thank U fccHandler ... I Will Save It & Post It In Here as Soon As The Crash Occurs Again !

Dear fccHandler ... As Promissed ! Here Is The Crash Info File !

Still - what were you doing right before it crashed?

Looking at the info file it looks like it crashed right in the middle of ffdshow, not VirtualDub...

Well .. Moreover U Asked Me To Describe What I Was Doing ... Ok ! I Was Encoding an MPEG2 File Of About 2.5 GO With Use Of X264 Codec !
If U Need More Details Than I Will Post Them At Ur Request ....

Yep... ffdshow crashed, and brought the rest of the program down with it. I'm afraid there isn't anything I can do about that. I don't know much about ffdshow myself, so you'll probably have to get in touch with its makers. Is it an open source codec? It might not be 100% stable.

[ffdshow] Is it an open source codec?

*coughcoughcough* (http://ffdshow.sf.net/)
plus

:D

(IOW - it's parts of mplayer wrapped in a DirectShow and VfW interface)

Thank U Anyway !
