help! burning dvd+r from bit torrents

please excuse me if this is a ridiculous plea from another newbie who is an idiot.

i have downloaded arrested devlopment form a bit torrent. i have divx and therefore i can play it on my pc.

when i try to burn a dvd using either sonic mydvd (which comes with windows) or nero, it takes a good 3 or 4 hours to nearly finish the burning process. when it is getting close to the end, the process stops, the disc is ejected and an error message appears on the screen.

i really dont get computers, yes, i am a little bit simple, is there anyone who can explain what i am doing wrong. the dma is enabled ( i just worked out how to check that).

do i need more codecs? another programme?

my dvd burs +r and +rw.

i am desperate. please help

it would help if you would posted the error message; but then again, you did violate a forum rule (so it probably won't even matter), i would tell me you, but you probably already know which one, since all members are require to read & abide by forum rules when signing up

hmmm? since it's not a pay TV series, what would the rules say about TVrips, then again, they could be DVDrips, since they're out on DVD
