Last night I did my first RB 93.2 Pro encode using CCE Basic 2.70.1.4. I never performed any type of processing on the video files before running them through RB.

When RB finished it's work I used Nero Express 3.1.0.11 to burn the video files. I copied all of the newly created RB files from RB's output path into Nero Express's video folder and burned them to a Verbatim 8x DVD-R. However, when I clicked "Burn", Nero flashed a message that there was a "file allocation error" and asked if I wanted to proceed. I did. The burn completed and the dvd played without error on my standalone player. I have seen this error before with other software, but I was not expecting it with RB.

I then ran RB and CCE Basic on the same files and created an ISO image file and set RB to burn the ISO image with DVDDC 3.5.4.0. It worked flawlessly and the dvd-r played perfectly.

So my question is: why is RB's file output causing Nero 6.6.0.14/Nero Express 3.1.0.11 to issue a "file allocation error"? :thanks:

I rebuilt "House of Flying Daggers" last night. I recieved the exact same error when I attempted to burn with Nero. It at some point indicated that VTS set 14 was not needed shortly after that error. This IS something I didnt expect to see with RB but I havent tested the backup yet so we shall see.

ignore nero when it gives this errors, not all original dvds are exactly to spec and make nero give that warning. You probably have a menu file that is 0kb in size. About 1 in 5 dvd's seem to have them. Either ignore the warning or delete the 0kb files
