I have not been able to view DVD Subtitles while using Media Player Classic as my software dvd player of choice. Does anyone else have this issue? I can easily view subs for AVI files in MPC because DirectVobSub handles it, but no dvd subs can be selectable. The little subtitles option is always greyed out. Do I need a plugin to put in the MPC dir, or what? It's not just my pc either because I have this issue on my main computer, laptop, and secondary machine. HELP!

You might be using the wrong menu. Did you try to use the "subtitles" item in the popup menu or the "navigate->subtitle language" item"? It should be the latter.

Hey man thanks! You were right. To view subs off a dvd you gotta goto Navigate\Subtitle Streams\Enabled, and then choose your language of choice. Can't believe it was right there the whole time. What is the subtitle option for then when you right-click on a video and find the "Subtitles" option. It's always greyed out.

enable vdub in ffdshow, then you can use then, had the same problem a while back, seeing as how vmr doesn't output to my tv even 50% of the time
