View Full Version : Problem testing DVDRB 0.93 with CCE 2.70 trial

I am in the process of trying out DVDRB .093free for the first time. I was able to successfully encode a movie using "Quenc" (although with TheaterTEK 2.1.1, the movie would not playback with sound for some reason, but that's another question).

Anyway, my final test before contributing for the PRO version was to see how DVDRB worked with CCE basic trial version. I installed CCE basic trial 2.70.01.04. I used the configuration Wizard to set up the path to CCE basic trial.

Settings in DVDRB are:

MODE = CCE
OPTIONS = CCE Basic
OPTIONS>SETTINGS = path to CCE Basic: "c:\program files\custom technology\cce basic trial\cct2t.exe."

I selected the same movie that worked with the QuENC encoder and let DVDRB work. There are two VTS files in the movie. RB processed the first VTS and when it finished the second VTS (the main movie) the following popup box stated:

VTS 06
CCE Basic Trial Version
D:\D2AVS\item.ecl is not a ECL for Basic Trial Version.

I clicked on the above error box three times to get rid of it and saw another popup box which said:

Encoder Error
E:File V04000000001001 shows completed but no .M2V file exists. Aborted.

Does DVDRB 93 Free version work with the trial version of CCE basic? If so, what am I doing wrong? :thanks:

The problem is on CCE Basic Trial... if you read the info about it you'll realize that it is restrained to a few minutes of encoding... if you want to test use CCE SP Trial... set it to 2 passes and you'll get the same result that you would get with a retail CCE Basic version.

Thanks for the answer Rockas. I realized it a few hours after the post and after I went ahead and purchased CCE Basic along with a contribution for the PRO version of DVDRB 93.2. Everything seems to work now. Will be trying my first encode with DVDRB Pro/CCE Basic tonight.

Glad to hear that... :)
