Hello everyone; before I begin, I'd like to introduce myself to the forum.

Now that I've gotten that outta the way :p, I have a little problem that I hope isn't too n00bish.

Anyhow, I have a couple games that I ripped to the hard drives on a couple of my computers for multiplayer LAN games, etc. However now, my main PC is running out of HD space and I need to burn these images to a DVD+R. Problem is, when I use Nero or Alcohol 120% to burn them, Windows gives me a "Improper disc inserted" (or the likes) message, thus making the copied disc useless. So I figure I could just burn all image files as they are onto a DVD+R as a UDF data disc so I can just go to "My Computer" and mount the image files straight from the disk, like I would on my HD. However, when I tried this, I popped-in the disc and Windows gives me the following message:

---------------------------
My Computer
---------------------------
D:\ is not accessible.

The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable.

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Now my question is, is there a way to burn these image files onto a DVD so I can just mount them in Dæmon Tools straight from the disc? If it helps any, one image is a 670MB ISO file (with a CUE file along with it) ripped from a CD-ROM using Disc Dump Frontend 1.4.1, and the other is a 2.93GB MDF file (with a MDS file along for the ride as well) ripped from a DVD-ROM using Alcohol 120%. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

it's been awhile, but i remember having the same error message; for some reason, it was caused by mounting the image, while the cd/dvd was still in the drive

What burner and media are you using?

Cheap media may be the cause for this kind of problems.

Does your burner support bitsetting? (changing the book type to "DVD-ROM" for your + discs). You should give it a try.

not sure if this would help but a program called Isofolder makes an iso of all the contents in a folder on your hard drive. you can then burn this iso to a cd/dvd
