You can use the avisynth blur plugin, but that's about all.

There are virtualdub and avisynth stuff to remove logos (or delogo). It will depend on the logo and you'll need to re-encode...
Also these tools will generally blur or replace the area with black, perhaps interpolating a bit.

The analog capture guide has a logo removal section in which the dekafka function is explained. Then there's DeLogo, it can achieve very nice results (from some before and after screenshots I saw, at least), but I'm not sure if it has an avisynth version.

My belief is that logoaway filters can never do that good of a job unless the bug is very simplistic, so I advocate not using them whatsoever. I just deal with bugs when I happen to capture video that contains them. I hate bugs, but I hate a blurred/black part of the image even worse.

If the TV station's logo shows at least a tiny little bit of transparence, then it can be removed with very good results: have a look here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=70916&page=7&pp=20). (Thread is of different topic, but those examples should speak for themselves nevertheless).

The used method has been refined a lot since then. If you can read German, or know someone who does, then follow the link I gave here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=642571&highlight=guide#post642571). If not, then sorry ... don't even find the time to make a final update to the German guide, so even less for translating it.

Dear bcc ... U May Try To Create A Logo For Ur Self Then Put It Over The Logo U Need To Eliminate ! This Is A Good Solution I Frequently Use With Bad TV Logos !
Creating A Logo For Ur Self May Take 1 To 2 Hours But It's Worth While ! Then U Can Use Vdub Logo Filter To Put The Logo Over The Video !

Below I presented sample where I made first and quick attempt to remove logo using DeLogo and Logo plugins in VDM.
My target is to get /in difficult frames/ residuals not in cancer form but rather as tiny negative of logo.
May be this is not best example but for such sample to remove logo is absolute neccessery.
Sample is long ca.100MB to show results on dark and bright scenes.
