Since DVD Decrypter has now been shutdown, is there another ripper that will be recommended to work with DVD RB?

Since this questioned was asked in another thread, here in the Rebuilder forum, I wanted to make sure that
all DVD-RB users saw this thread and knew that there is indeed a new Free tool
that can be used to defeat the newer ArcoSS protection.

Get It here at: http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

I did post a thread on this in the "One click DVD backup solutions" forum Here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=95886). It gives more information.

However, unless something is right in front of your face there are some people missing the information.

I also believe that with the problems of DVDD not being updated this information deserves a thread of it's own here in the Rebuilder forum.

Regards,:)

P.S. I hope no one gets to upset with my posting more than once about this new free app.

P.P.S. Let everyone know what you think of the app. How do you like it?
and Does it work well for you when using DVD-RB?

edit: spelling

Thanks for the information about this program. :) I will give it a go. It's very easy to use. I will report back after I have tired a few DVD's. Thanks again for the heads up! :D

This is not free but as it has been posted in other threads DVDD will work with the newer encryptions as long as AnyDVD will update its product.

unchecking on the FIle, Iso & IFO mode tabs the Check box Remove structure protection. Then in the I/O tab check ElbyCDIO option box and it should work with AnyDVD doing its stuff on the fly.

Yes, I started the original post with this information Here. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=95712)

The payware option with AnyDVD is a recourse to continue using DVDD.

But the above option is freeware and though limited is, as I stated, free.

Sounds good... But how do we know it's legit?

Old age has turned me into a cynical old fart. :)

YES I do read posts on this forum. There was no posting in this forum that it was fake at the time that I posted it (from a post at flexbeta). Don't assume I don't read this forum before posting.

By around here, I mean "doom9".

Also, you would have me believe that you are posting about DVD Decrypter and you never go to the "Decrypting Forum"

Looks like someone is hoping to cash in on the demise of Decrypter.

The above was posted by "Malphas 11th June 2005, 19:43 in the "No more DECRYPTER" thread.
Who is he trying to fool? "I lost all my programmers" and "I'm looking for a wide range of people including reverse engineer" should be enough to convince anyone that this is not the original author.
The above post by "mpucoder" followed at 11th June 2005, 19:51, same thread.

I suggest you change your attitude setting to a lower value, it might improve output quality ;)

I would first apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused with the post. I did not find this site on my own nor from a post on some forum somewhere. It was a story (as previously indicated) from a tech news site called flexbeta. They should have done more verification prior to the post of this story. They are also not the first tech news site to post a story that has later turned out to be false.

I do not check all forums but do search the rebuilder forum before posting here. This is not the first post regarding DVD Decrypter in the rebuilder forums and likely won't be the last as it is a tool used in conjunction with rebuilder. I have never been to the DVD Decrypter forums on doom9. While the forums at DVD Decrypter were available it was my source for information on that program, just as this is my source for DVD Rebuilder.

This program and its forum users have been of great assistance to me. It was at my suggestion that the link for DVD Decryter in the rebuilder sticky be updated from the old url when ownership changed, which is was to the one hosted by doom9. As there was concerned raised by the author as to what the new owners would do with ip address that would visit the site.

The person who created this fake site is the one who should be scorned and not people on these forums wanting to help out with DVD Rebuilder. So hopefully it is clear to all who read this thread that DVD Decrypter is not back and move on to having rebuilder as the best tool of its kind.
