Hi,

I need to change the sst timecode to 15frames offset.
but I can't open sst files in any subtitle s/w (subrip, subcreator, subtitleworkshop, MaestroSBT, VobSub)
please help me I've been trying for a week to change sst files that I already have ready to be used in Scenarist.

.sst files are text files, open them with any text editor, such as notepad.

I need to open them in a subtitle editor and change the timecode

that would not be possible and will take me a few days in a text editor since it's a 80 minute movie with 1300 subtitle files
can't there be a way to change a SST file with some program?
please help me...

Try subtitleworkshop (http://www.urusoft.net/products.php?cat=sw&lang=1)

subtitle workshop says:
*.sst is bed subtitle or an unsupported format.
when I try to open it.
and I know it is good since I used it in scenarist
and if there's one program that won't take bed files is scenarist
so I'm sure this file is good.

try Lemony. Check http://www.jorgemorones.com/lemony/
You will have to pay but then you will be able to do all and everything you want.

You can open SST files in Subtitle Workshop - but you have to select the SST file format from the drop-down menu before you open it.

Unfortunately Subtitle Workshop reads the frame numbers as miliseconds in the start and end timings for each subtitle so it will f*ck your timings up even more.

So this leads me to think that until they implement the correct time reading no software can properly edit SST files.

Believe me - this is very annoying as I have been trying to do NTSC<->PAL conversion of SST timings for a while now and can find no app that can correctly read SST's (strange) timecode.
