2 audio tracks - question

hi im using dvd2svcd with the dvd2avi option checked. i have a movie that is in english overlapped with japanese. when i load the movie at the bottom where it says select audio track 1 and 2 are highlighted and able to change. do i put english on both of them if i want only the english language to be heard during the movie???

Are you doing an avi2dvd/avi2scvd conversion?

If yes, d2s will show you both ttracks as "Unspecified", because language is not specified in avis.
You have to select the track you want in the selected checkbox. AFAIK, in avis, the track is identified by the audio index number, not by the language.

yeah it wouldnt let me select only one track..so i set them both to english and there was no sound effects..just talking and it still wasnt english. just forget about it. . i have another question.....can we take subitles off that were put in by somebody else?
