AVS scripts for 'restoring' old series and movies

Does anybody have a script or a good idea what plug-ins or commands to use that can help restore a poor quality (just old, not knackered) VHS to DVD transfer

Another one I'm looking for is to try and improve the final quality of B+W movies or series from the 40's

The ones like Zorro, Flash Gordon, Sherlock Holmes movies, that kind or era, just very old series and movies which are released 'as is' on DVD with little or no money spent on restoring them by the studios, just money making releases

it gives you a few filters to use depending on what you need

And if you feel that some filters destroy too mutch detail you can always use masktools.
