I've been bustin' my butt on it... lots of work on the ILVU reencoding (a lot more than I anticipated)... I decided not to stop until it was done, that's why there haven't been any releases in a couple of weeks. I haven't had a lot of sleep. If I was satisified with the results of a transcoder it would have been so easy... ;)
I anticipate the first release candidate for V1.00 to be out soon.

in jdobbs we trust... :)
Can't wait to see the new 1.0. Take your time and make sure you get some sleep also.
Cheers mate.

That's AWESOME!! The ILVU support is the one thing I've been dying for. As of now, it's the only issue that still requires me to use 3rd party apps before DVD-RB.

Quoted, quoted... Excellent news for the near future...
Nevertheless wanted also stating once again the biggest appreciation for the huge and continuous work performed by Jdobbs in the last 1+ year on DVD Rebuilder.
Big thanks...

Oh my God Jdobbs... please! I think You should have some sleep! Your mind should be clear to work on DVD-RB v.1 ;) If You are going to develop this great tool (even far than v.1) You have to sleep (sometimes) ;)

Agreed. Part of this lack of sleep is probably a passion for your project, but sleep is a necessity. I know I don't mind waiting a little longer if it meant a bit more sleep for the author. I had my share of sleepless nights at work and I would not wish that on anyone.

Sleep is for the weak. I'm an insomniac and some of my most inspirational moments were induced by sleep-deprivation... well, sleep-deprivation and liquor. ^_^
In all seriousness though, I'm sure that the wait for 1.0 will be worth it, and that the sacrifices made to bring it to fruition will be highly appreciated. I cannot voice what a high level of respect I have for people liek JDobbs who have such talent and spend countless hours using that talent to help others. Because I can't vouch for anyone else, but DVD-RB has been an immense help to me.
To have in my posession a tool that fills the gaps of so many others and allows a quality and functionality beyond most high-priced utilities, all thanks to the generosity one man shows with his time, restores a certain degree of my faith in humanity.
I'm not one to have much in the way of spare cash, having been laid-off by my former company and with a family. But I feel genuinely good about making DVD-RB one of the projects that I support with those limited funds. And I sincerely hope that others feel the same way, so that JDobbs is well-rewarded and reimbursed for his valiant efforts on the behalf of all us techies and non-coders.
Thanks Chief.

I only have 3 DVD's with ILVU, and I have not been able to backup any of them sucessfully as yet. I know at least one of these is because there is currently no compression done to ILVU segments, and the remaining space is not suffcient for the rest of the DVD (only 600MB from memory, which requires a reduction down to 15.4%)

While I haven't personally used this meathod, I've been told that DVDRemake is very effective at sttripping out multiple angles in a very simple fashion if your not concerned with retaining them.

Ultimately I would much prefer exact 1:1 copies, but if it came to the crunch stripping them out is definately an option.

You should be able to do either with v1.00. I only hope eveyone doesn't lose interest while I'm pounding out this ILVU code.

What I'm looking forward to the most, is turning encoding 'on' or 'off' for individual cells. This will help alot with movies around 4700mb with 400mb credits.

I know that the DVD-RB Add-on, "RB-Keeper" allows you to do this, although I'm not certain if it is compatible with the newer versions of RB.
take your time, jdobbs
no need for regularly updated 0.9x versions imho when there's something big to come :)
since i am not familiar with all features asked for, maybe these have been mentioned before:
- ability to select more than 1 vts in the resize to half d1 section
(maybe via CTRL+Click?)
- added avisynth commands to be either auto-deleted when the job has finished or a button to have them deleted after the conversion if the users wanted this
- same for the *steal space from extras* option

VOBblanker let you blanket out the cell with the credits or set the cell to a still frame of your choice with or with out the audio of that cell. Try it out VOBblanker great program. You can also turn motion menu to still frame menus with or with out auidio.

I don't want to blank my credits, I want to compress them. I have VobBlanker (which is what I use to extract the credits cell, compress it, then use the "replace" function), but thanks for the tip!
You can also turn motion menu to still frame menus with or with out auidio.
MenuShrink can also do this. :)
yeah jdobbs....
take your time :)

Then
3rd Scenarist T (DoItFast4U, DoCCE4U & ReAuthorist)
And now the best one
DVD Rebuilder (CCE) by fare the easiest and the best one to use
It’s not a lot but I just donated again I would like to pay more but I’m a poor scholar

And yet the man still lives! I too am looking forward to the new V1.0 release. I've been using the free version .93 for the last couple of weeks since the motherboard on my PC died. Although for a free version I can't find anything to complain about.
I'm a registered user.

Hey, Soph -- I released it just for you. ;) How's it going down there in the land of the sun? Are you off for the summer or working through it?

I appreciate the release, using the free version although good just isn't the same. Nice makeover I installed it last night and put it to the test right away, and everything seems fine so far.
I've been off for the summer since May 28, I go back to work on July 27. I've been in a PC building frenzy for the last three weeks, including a replacement for my old rig. Did someone says something about sun? It's rained almost everyday since summer break started (all but 3 days), but otherwise things are fine.
Thanks for the release.
