convensional wisdom says that v2.5 is preferred for athlons, and v2.6+ for intels. does this still apply to the athlon 64, athlon x2, and intel D?

@tigerman8u
Thanks for filling me in.
I think abbadon is referring to the ability of cce to run on different platforms i.e x32 or x64.
I could be wrong!

sorry if i wasn't clear. i am talking about running cce on a normal winxp but with one of the new generation of processors. the last generation/current generation was the athlonxp and pentium4, for which cce 2.50 and 2.6+ were the preferred versions, respectively. now we have the athlon64, athlonx2, and pentiumD out or coming out for the same winxp. what version is best for these new processors? is this clear?

abbadon,
As long as you are running the 32bit WindowsXP on a 64bit processor, there will be no problems.
I started out with WinXP 32, when I updated my system to an AMD64. It will run 32bit software with no problems.
Hope this helps.

OK, let me try this again.
The CCE FAQ says that in general, use CCE 2.50 for Athlons and CCE 2.66+ for Pentiums.
But, the CCE FAQ was written when there was only the Athlon XP and the Pentium 4.
Now we have the Athlon 64, the Athlon X2, and the upcoming Pentium D.
So, do we still use CCE 2.50 for Athlon 64 and the Athlon X2?
Do we still use CCE 2.66+ for the Pentium D?
Or has this changed?
