Hey, Im am using bbMPEG to mux my audio and video files after encoding them with CCE, at 1st i used the default settings (choosing SVCD and using all the default settings under the encoding options except cutting the file at 795 megs) and i would get PTS/DTS underflow errors, using the default mux rate, so i set it to 0 allowing it to auto choose for me, i didnt get the errors everything seems fine, but when i burn it back in nero, and try to play it back in my computer i get a dos disc error, or something like that, i play it in REALMAGIC HOLLYWOOD PLUS and it recognizes its a SVCD then it says, no disc, after i hit play, my computer can read the directorys look at all the file attributes, but CANT play it or even copy it to another folder, my dvd player however plays it fine(wierd?!? shouldnt the comp see it perfect?), i just had a thought, i JUST bought a new burner plextor 24x, maybe thats the culprit i burn at 16x and 12x (even 4x once)depening on the mood, on 80min imations, with burn proof turned on, maybe i should lower the speed and turn off burn proof, nehelp would be greatly apriciated, ill try it without burn proof for now tho, thanx a lot in advance here are my specs just incase it will help:
AMD Athlon 1.46GHZ
256 Megs Crucial DDR Ram
Shuttle AK31 Rev 2 KT266 Motherboard
Toshiba 12x DVD-Rom Drive
Plextor 24x10x40A CDRW (was using a tdk 8x4x32a velocd before when things worked, maybe i should try that too)
40Gig Harddrive
thanx again, and sorry if i rambled! heh

I have that problem also when i create SVCD images with VCDImager and burn.

Fine in nero though, apart from it only seems to play in certein players.

My experience has been that Nero is not a good choice to burn SVCD. Great for everything else but not that.

I use the following procedure:

Mux in bbMPEG and split at 740 (74 min) or 790 (80 min) or 890 (90 min). Convert the MPG files to MPS using MPGXMPS. Use I-Author to create menus, etc. Convert I-Author generated CIF files to BIN/CUE. Burn with CDRWin (one of the most reliable burners). These disks will play in ANY SVCD capable standalone.

I used to use EZCD Creator 4 to burn but have moved on to Windows XP and had to add the conversion step for CDRWin. My Plextors will overburn up to 89 minutes so using CDRWin also enables me to burn those longer CDR's.

Scooter did you have probs with audio going out of synce on final burns. I have, even though there's perfect sync in original mpg. Is there some special options I have to check with converting utility mpgxmps? My audio in svcd is lagging behind if it went thru all the conversions. I didn't use ezcd, just converted cif to bin/cue using cdmage beta, cause only beta did it for me.

addition:
if I author mpeg with VCDEasy I get no a/sync problem at all. It's only with I-Author projects. Also I tried to burn with ezcd4.05 to same avail -> a/sync prob.
I used dvd2svcd for all my rips. And now when I learned how to author with I-Author and my svcd have full menues and such...bummer. W/D2S bbMPEG setting is in default "movie offset seconds"=2 (as recommended by D2S) Shall I try "0"?

Any one got any ideas how to fix this?

Please help,
