Just a trick I found maybe somebody else found it...but I wanted to share the info ...
If you change the priority of DVDRB to lower than normal or idle, the subsequent CCE SP 2.70 will be ran with this priority...useful if you want to be able to use your computer during the encode.....

That works on all CCE versions...

it's the encoding period alot longer because of this?
a pc with 1 gb on dual ddr could be "blocked" by cce and dvdrebuilder?
or another thing; how much will it speed encoding, if I put dvd-rb and cce to "realtime priority" with that amount of memory.
is it true that dvd-rb doesn't like hypethreading? did I dream it or did I read it somewhere? or is it cce? what about HC?

Lots of Qs! The encoding time won't be noticably longer. It just depends on what else you do with the CPU when the encoding is going on. The system will not be stable if you use realtime priority. It would take a while for the screensaver to turn on! CCE is quite the CPU hog. It is also SMP capable, meaning it works fine with dual processors, real or logical. Although, there are issues here and there about hyperthreading being less efficient than a single core. I turn HT off in the BIOS. I always have. Security issues have arisen on multi-user systems.
