View Full Version : Problem removing angles via IFOEdit

I'm working with my "The Rescuers Down Under" dvd, and trying to remove the 2nd and 3rd angles as listed in IFOEdit, as these are the foreign language angles. However, when I select to keep angle one, go through the process of stripping it, I have files with a problem, The last section that has multiple angles(a short part of the film and then the final credits) appears to only have 2 of the 3 angles ifoedit sees when I select which angle to keep.
Apparently ifoedit isn't "keeping" the 1st angle, but rather removing the "last two" angles...because what it does is completely remove this portion of the film, leaving no angles whatsoever

It wouldnt bother me if it was only the credits, but it's also got a short portion of the movie here.

Any ideas on what I can do to remove the extra angles, but still manage to keep the english one at the end?

Oh and i'm using ifoedit .971,, i'm stymied here and really at a loss as to what to do, as I've never had this issue before with ifoedit :(

Please and thanks in advance for any suggestions/help

Mr. Zebra, did you escaped from "Madagascar"? :D

A shot in the dark here:

when stripping, after the audio and subtitle selection page, there is a long row of check boxes to choose from. Pay attention to the last checkbox, you may have to check it to retain.

Surf Thanks for the tip, by manually checking the box, I see the end portion now in the files.

However, now there appears to be a new "issue". This end portion of the movie/credits, plays through twice...

Any suggestions?

"madagascar" hrm....well they called it "sanitarium" when I escaped, but I supposed they may have changed the name by now...

"Question: Will this affect the playback, my manually checking it to keep? I've never had a dvd of mine that ifoedit didnt just get right on it's own, so now I'm a little worried lol."

I can only pray for thee. :D

I'm also guessing that you are another member which never use PGCedit? If not please do. It's nothing short of magic in troubleshooting besides a lot of abilities to fix your goal.

No, i've not delved into pgcedit before

though Perhaps I should

As now with ifoedit, and manually selecting the vob id to keep, it plays this section of the movie twice....

not sure how to correct this issue

"manually selecting the vob id to keep, it plays this section of the movie twice"

Sounds like you select one too many then...

If you wish to try again, and before you click on the VOBextra button, check and scroll down and note which of the last vob id to keep and note the others (angle 2&3) for discarding.

I think I have this movie....in R1...not in Madagascar. :p

well I definitely didnt select one to many, as I only selected one.

The difference went from the portion of the film not being there, to being there but playing twice. :(

mayhaps I'll have to fall back on a program like clonedvd2....which I don't really like at all.

Unless someone else has any ideas on how to correctly remove these angles?

OH and yes, this is the R1 i'm using as well, "gold collection" edition, though I don't know if there is a non-gold collection edition.

This is what happened when I "play" the movie with PgcEdit, it didn't play the credit chapter twice:

ahh i misunderstood where you said to select it. I thought you meant in the 2nd popup window after clicking vob extras, and then strip it.
