I've been doing back-ups for about a month now and recently purchased some DVD+R DL's so that I don't have to lose menus or quality anymore. I've been using DVD Shrink and really like it's ease of use but I was wondering if there is a better app out there for back-ups onto DL's instead of single layers. Shrink works fine but I'm just curious about what else is out there.

Oh, and FREE would be nice, of course.

TIA

Thanks for the reply. However, I already use DVDDecryptor to rip since it does such a great job. I was just curious about other proggies that specialize in burning. Shrink is a great program but I like to try different things if I can.

All right, I going to give you the same answer and a hint - read the dvd decryptor documentation. It will do exactly what you are asking for; zero quality loss and maintain menus and extras ;)

Exactly; rip it in ISO mode (you'll need a hard drive formatted in NTFS), then burn it back. If you don't have an NTFS hard drive (To check, right-click the drive under My Computer and select Properties - the options are FAT32 and NTFS) try CloneDVD. You can rip the disc in file mode, keeping the files under 4GB, then burn it back with no quality loss at all without losing menus, and it's super easy.
