hi,i was wondering if you can edit parts of a segment that has the main movie with it (just like dvd shrink's editting tool)if not ,that would be a great feature for vers 1.then you can have the main movie start and then finish at the beginng of the credits.saving sometimes alot of space for the longer movies.
im sure thier is a program that would do this, but would realy like to see dvd rb have this option...your thoughts :)

Look under "Options" in the Segment Editor. It defaults to just showing you the Extras... but you blank out/slideshow the main film is you want as well. For example you could blank out the credits or turn them into a slideshow.

hi jdobbs, thanks for your reply.i cant look into the options yet,im encoding at the moment.what i wanted to do was edit the begining segment to have the movie start and the same as the ending.can you still do this even if the movie and the stuf i would like to remove are in the same segment.thanks

I don't think that it's possible to do want you want with DVD Rebuilder... it uses "Cells Encoding". To do what you suggest Rebuilder would have to create a "complete main movie .d2v file"... it just doesn't work that way.
Anyway... I think that jdobbs will be able to explain it in a better way :)

There are ways to do anything -- that's why DVD Rebuilder is designed the way it is. For example, you could modify the AVS for a segment and pretty much edit it down to the individual frame. Someday I may add those kinds of additional capabilities intrinsically... but it's way too late to go into v1.00...
