I've used DVD2SVCD before to create a dvd movie playable on a stand-alone from a single avi. I didn't think the quality was as good as the original avi.
I'm a little confused. Why do you have to re-encode avis to be playable on a stand-alone? If they're DivX or Xvid, shouldn't the player be able to play them?
Now I have like 200 avis that I want to split up between DVDs so I can watch them all on an average stand-alone. The avi files are like ~70MB each, with XviD and Mp3 encoding. If I do have to re-encode, how do I know what a good number of movies to put on one disk is?
I'm going for the highest quality with mininal command line knowledge or knowhow. I'm willing to try any program. I do have CCE on my computer, but I don't really know how to use all of its features.
