I purchased several DVDs from Best Buy. These DVDs are music concerts such as Metallica, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles. I would like to copy just the sound track (not Video) off of these DVDs onto my computer using my computer's Plextor DVD burner.
I did install DVD Decryptor, but seems to be confusing with the VOB, IFO and BUP files. Not sure which if any is audio files. I think I rather find a different way if possible.

Dvddecrypter will do this (free)

It will demux the soundtrack, but it won't convert it to mp3. For that step, you can use BeSweetGUI or another audio conversion tool.

where can I get step by step directions for DVD Decrypt?
I purchased several DVDs from Best Buy. These DVDs are music concerts such as Metallica, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles. I would like to copy just the sound track (not Video) off of these DVDs onto my computer using my computer's Plextor DVD burner. I eventually want to pick and choose which of those songs from my computer that I will convert to CDA or MP3 and then burn to a CD-R so I can listen in my car.
I did install DVD Decryptor and did DECRYPT the DVD. Have no clue what I am doing once it is Decrypted and seems to be confusing with all the VOB, IFO and BUP files. Not sure which if any is audio files.

hi there,
when u rip with DVD decrypter (in IFO mode), enable stream processing and highlight the required audio stream, check the demux box and a separate audio file will be created
u can then use BeSweet to encode this file (ac3 maybe?) to mp3 or wav which u can burn to cd

I did exactly what you wrote.
I am working with the EAGLES dvd.
After doing what you said, it created a folder called c:\Eagles
Inside is a folder called Video_ts and inside that is 4 files. One is stream infomation, second is VTS_01_0 ifo and two .VOB files (keep in mind that I selected all tracts before decryting)
Now what do I do?

if u only have those files within the video_ts folder u didnt stream rip and demux the audio
when ur dvd is loaded in dvd decrypter in IFO mode, there r two tabs on the right hand side of the program - 'inputs' and 'stream processing'. selecting the latter will give u a list of available streams for the selected dvd title
to get a separate audio file from the title u select the audio stream u want under stream processing and in the check boxes below the streams u check 'demux'
depending on the type of audio on the dvd u will get a separate audio file in the video_ts folder
once u have this u can then use BeSweet
u have to use stream processing to get the separate audio!
Edit: make sure the audio stream u want is not only checked but also highlighted before checking the demux option in stream processing
